As more and more people joined the DAO, I started working on a project to help people get started. I call it: DAO Wei. You can think of DAO Wei as an emerging philosophy, a way of living and working in the new DAO system.

Who am I? I'm a writer and have been working in the cryptocurrency space since 2017 in both technical and non-technical roles. I am very curious about how DAOs will change society and culture and want to help DAOs shape stories.

What is the purpose of this article? DAO Wei is now just a skeleton, and it lacks collective thought and consensus — the qualities that make DAO unique. I want to establish a philosophy/principle and make sure that the voice of everyone who wants to be heard is heard. My question is for you to comment on DAO Wei's emerging philosophy and share your experience. I want to cover up the unknown unknown.

Let nature be your guide. Nature follows the principle of self-organizing systems. From how birds flock to how ants form groups, we see this principle in animal flocking. Ants can accomplish extraordinary feats together, such as turning resources into more ants, hunting, and protecting ant colonies. These feats would be impossible for a lone ant. Mother Nature designed ant colonies to be leaderless, instead allowing them to follow their intuition and trust the scent of the colony, thereby creating room for miracles to emerge.

DAOs often invent their own terms because they describe what they are doing The term for something to do does not yet exist in our dictionary. Remember, DAOs are building new systems, so they are also shaping language. To understand their language means you need to do some decoding, and I have a technique that works.

The technique is simple, but difficult in practice. This requires us to cultivate a beginner's heart. We do this by breaking down complex ideas into building blocks. We lay the groundwork like a complete beginner and then keep asking ourselves "why" and "what" questions.

The possibilities for a DJ-created mix are endless . There are as many possible variations of a song as there are people in the world. If you've ever used music production software, you know there are thousands of ways to morph and shape your sound. As a beginner, this is all very confusing.

When you first join a DAO, the confusion is real. Lots of Discord channels, forums, and one-off conversations that seem like a chaotic mess. But don't give up. By exercising curiosity, you can find a meaningful wei in complexity. You can do the "why" exercise in Principle 2, or you can use the chaos as the basis for shaping your own unique ideas. How to do this? You are getting curious. Which types of topics will attract you to listen, and which will be refreshing to you. Community? Governance? Cryptoeconomics? system design? or something else? Whatever it is, listen to your curiosity.
